On June 5th, the Metcalfe team joined residents, library staff, local and state elected officials in celebrating the library’s grand reopening.

Our reimagination and design goals focused on updating the Frankford Library in a way that respects its story and legacy. As Councilmember Quetcy Lozada described during the ceremony, “This library is the cornerstone of a larger vision for Frankford, where every family has access to safe spaces, quality resources and opportunities to grow."

The building now has dedicated areas for children and young adults, new study and meeting rooms, improved circulation and staff spaces, and updated finishes, lighting and fenestration throughout, as well as ADA accommodations.
