The Bruce Museum of Greenwich, CT is an interdisciplinary place of learning in the arts and sciences. As part of a major expansion, they hired Metcalfe to help reimagine their permanent natural history gallery.
Opened in 2021, Natural Cycles Shape Our Land explores the cycles of land and life, ranging from continental to microscopic scales. In collaboration with the Bruce staff, we employed traditional exhibit tools, like beautiful dioramas and unique physical and digital interactives, to create a rich, playful learning environment. The exhibit centers on local Connecticut habitats but expands to tell a larger, global story about natural cycles.
