Our family-oriented interpretive exhibit provides an immersive experience that places children and families in Colonial America in the 1770s. We created a place for visitors to relive the conditions and issues that led to an event of global significance: the American Revolution.
Four distinct spaces within the Center meld together to form the core of an 18th-century urban environment. Visitors can experience the civic and private spaces where people discussed, argued, and ultimately committed to taking control of their own fate as a nation. They can move through the individual spaces at their own pace and in their own sequence — building toward an understanding of what someone at that time and place may have experienced.
The exhibit opened in 2017.
