As an architectural designer, Wil takes an approach to design that is informed by how things are made. Wil’s interests lie in how the processes of craft and making can shape the built environment, be they the contours of a handrail, the feel of a material, or the narrative of a space. At Metcalfe, Wil has worked on projects at a variety of scales, ranging from interior fit-outs and new additions to even moving an entire building.
In addition to his work at Metcalfe, Wil is an adjunct professor at the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University, where he has taught design studios and courses in architectural representation and structural analysis.
Wil received a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M. Arch from the Tyler School of Art and Architecture at Temple University.
