Christopher is a partner and a seasoned design lead with over 25 years of experience, specializing in museum, outdoor experiences, and school projects. Drawing from his love of being outdoors, Chris’s connection to nature has influenced his work in schools, museums, outdoor spaces, canopy walks, and nature play spaces.
Chris taught for 17 years at Jefferson University’s College of Architecture and the Built Environment. Building on his teaching philosophy, his iterative process and approach to design focuses on listening, empathy, and understanding each client’s culture, site, and needs.
Since joining Metcalfe in 2006, Chris has been instrumental in the development of Metcalfe’s engagement and design process and is currently leading the practice’s AIA 2030 Commitment towards a more sustainable built environment.
