Griffin Discovery Room, Monticello

Charlottesville, VA

The Griffin Discovery Room exhibit engages visitors in a process of play and discovery, as visitors explore the rich and complex history of Monticello. It features hands-on interactives throughout the space, including recreations of slave dwellings; murals, objects and activities which bring their stories to life; and replicas of Jefferson’s possessions, including his alcove bed and polygraph machine.
