  • FUN FACT

I’m dedicating a ridiculous amount of my free time to baking a perfect loaf of bread.

Katy Johnson, AIA

Katy’s talents make her essential to Metcalfe’s architecture and exhibit design work, where her advanced skills in 3D modeling/visualization and project documentation help define a range of environmental experiences. She typically works on a project throughout the design phase, creating renderings in the early part of the process and later carrying out project documentation and detailing.

Her projects at Metcalfe include Dow Gardens/Whiting Forest, Children’s Discovery Garden exhibits at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Wait-Play-Learn areas at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, AFS Outside at the Abington Friends School, and a multi-stage theater renovation for InterAct Theatre Company in the historic Drake building.

Katy holds a Bachelor of Design degree from The Ohio State University and completed her Master of Architecture degree at the University of Cincinnati.
