My favorite food is Pīrāgi--Latvian buns filled with bacon and onion.

Andrei Konsen

Andrei is fascinated by the human capacity to perceive the environment through the combined impressions of multiple senses. To create compelling physical experiences for residential, educational, civic, and commercial sectors, he incorporates auditory and tactile elements into his designs.

His empathetic approach is seen in many of Metcalfe’s projects, among them the Community Partnership School, Abington Friends School Headwaters Discovery play space, and the interactive waiting-pod exhibits in the Buerger Center for Pediatric Research at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Andrei holds Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architecture degrees from the University of Cincinnati.
