Jillian joined Metcalfe as Marketing Manager in 2019. She brings her lifelong passion for museums, nurtured by studying art history at Bryn Mawr (BA) and Richmond-The American University in London (MA). She knew Metcalfe was the right fit, because of its extensive practice working with museums to design exhibitions.
Jillian has worked in marketing since 2016, and she draws on her experience with organizations like the Historical Society of Pennsylvania to tell Metcalfe’s story. She loves working with Metcalfe’s current and prospective clients, who dig deep to research and find the firm that best matches their needs. With these clients, she explains, marketing is not about selling, but about educating. She helps clients understand how Metcalfe will work attentively with them to bring to life the spaces and experiences they imagine.
Another big part of Jillian’s job is connecting people to each other. She helps Metcalfe’s designers build deeper ties with Philadelphia’s professional and creative community, and she makes those connections herself. Jillian co-chairs the Young Friends’ Committee of the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, where she spearheads event planning and marketing. She is also active with the Society for Marketing Professional Services, She Steps Up, Ladies Get Paid, and Geek Girl Brunch Philadelphia.
